Family owned and operated, Czech Haven Kennels is a German Shepherd breeding program in Jacksonville, NC specializing in the Czech working lines specifically. I grew up in the country with plenty of farmland & livestock, which is where I developed an appreciation for a fine pedigree and seeing these genetics in action. From my first German Shepherd I found a passion for working dogs.
Our current adventure has brought us to the world of protection sports, particularly K9 Street League. Protection sports focus heavily on secondary obedience, control and strong nerves by creating a variety of scenarios designed to challenge the dog in all aspects. We have extensive plans for Dock Diving Summer 2025 as well (NEW)!
Breeding for a Purpose
With a passion for working dogs, each litter is carefully planned to combine the best genes for the pups intended use. Pups are placed in homes not by their looks but rather by evaluating each puppy's drives and key attributes. We will discuss your specific needs and intended use so that we can match you with the perfect dog or puppy. After evaluating the litter I will make the recommendations on which puppy or puppies I believe are the best fit for your needs and lifestyle.

I breed to produce excellent representatives of the breed, puppies who are of stable temperament, structurally correct, good drives, balanced, and excellent workability.
I aim to produce puppies best suited for sport, protection, working dogs (SAR, police, service) but also stable enough to be in active family homes. I have placed pups in working venues including sports, service, and personal protection with high success rate.
